Our mission statement at Naturaleza is inextricably linked with organic and sustainable agricultural endeavors as they imbue life-long
harmony with and preservation of our world. We employ many varieties of projects to develop organic and eco-friendly farming endeavors in traditional
growing communities. Organic agriculture solves many issues of both economic and environmental/health import and we at Naturaleza stoically
support the principles of organics for many obvious reasons. We deal only with organic organizations/certifying bodies of the highest standards
(IFOAM, OCIA, and Oregon Tilth) in carrying out our mission and we invite you all to support organics as we do. Together we can prevent organic
from becoming just another marketing buzz-word by understanding the true principles and benefits supporting such endeavors.

We at Naturaleza are proud to support fair-traders. We are assisting indigenous peoples worldwide in getting their fair-share with regard
to their products through cooperative formation and educational programming. Fair Trade illustrates an equitable, financially stable and fair partnership
between marketers in more developed countries and indigenous peoples of the world.
It is a partnership that helps to provide low-income artisans and farmers with a living wage for their work. Fair Trade compliant interactions and business
ensure: that farmers and artisans receive a fair wage in their respective local context, provision of equal employment opportunities for all people (the most
disadvantaged come first!), support of environmentally/culturally sustainable practices, open accountability to the public/consumers/indigenous peoples,
construction of long-term and long-standing trade relationships, including, dealing appropriately with regard to the development of appropriate market
forces/consumer demand in the long-run, provision of financial and technical assistance to indigenous partners, development of healthy and safe working
conditions within the local context and illustration of a socially responsible and innovative business model complete with exceptional employee advancement modalities.
We would like for every like-minded individual/organization to join us in the fight to make trade fair through our direct support and through the support of
like-minded organizations/endeavors like the International Federation for Alternative Trade, Fair Trade Federation, and the Oxfam Trade Campaign.
Oxfam's getting as many people as possible to sign a petition-the big noise-to stop people from getting ripped off in poor countries due to unfair trade rules.
There are many supporters but they still need your support and that of your friends, family and colleagues to send a strong message to our leaders that unfair trade is inexcusable.

We support shade-grown, rainforest-based herbals that are sustainably and responsibly grown by indigenous peoples under the shade and protection of pristine rainforest canopy.
This practice enables the rainforest land-owners respectable and economically viable alternatives to destroying the rainforest (or selling it to those who do!). We must continue
to give the land owners viable economic alternatives to destroying the rainforest as they do listen. Education is key! For example, the two largest destructive forces in the
rainforest are the commercial logging (direct deforestation for rainforest hardwoods) and cattle industries (slash and burn for grazing land). Approximate values of an acre of
rainforest to these entities are 300 and 55 U.S. dollars respectively. Landowners must be educated to the fact that the sustainable harvest of rainforest products from one acre
can yield upwards of 2500-10,000 U.S. dollars (depending on the degree and species of medicinal plants/herbals sustainably gathered from the region)-and the majestic rainforest is left to thrive and teem with life!

Donors and supporters rest assured that we at Naturaleza do not support animal testing or any other inhumane animal injustices in any way.
We would like to facilitate creativity and illustrate alternatives with regard to the more archaic and outdated models currently still in use by some.
We proudly bear the Council on Humane Giving's Seal of Approval that is administered by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM).
Founded in 1985 by Dr. Neil Barnard, PCRM is a nonprofit organization supported by nearly 5,000 physicians and 100,000 laypersons. PCRM promotes
preventive medicine through innovative programs and encourages higher standards for ethics and effectiveness in research. For more information on
cruelty-free, new innovative and more efficacious alternatives to animal research please refer to PCRM and other like-minded organizations.
Member organizations of the Council on Humane Giving include PCRM, the Medical Research Modernization Committee, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals,

Chance for Animals, and Beauty Without Cruelty.

In tandem with our mission statement of preservation and conservation of our world's natural places we at Naturaleza are moving to take the Co-op America Woodwise Pledge
to be more socially responsible through diminishing our use of forest-tree based materials and providing a model for other organizations, businesses and
individuals to follow. In line with our pledge and our ethical views, our official letterhead and other high-profile corporate identity and promotional pieces are printed with soy-based ink on Vanguard Recycled Plus from
Living Tree Paper Company (10% hempflax and 90% post-consumer recycled paper) and all other office paper is made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper. |

We support the principles of a business model called appropriate technology that basically means to slow down and make decisions based on more criteria than just profitability.
We not only demonstrate how this is possible, but we also show that it is more profitable than standard models in the long run and that it lends support to the preservation of our world.
We assist with the implementation of much positive and small-scale change that conglomerates into solutions to far-reaching global problems by abiding by E.F.
Shumacher's code for problem solving (small, simple, inexpensive and nonviolent) in devising ideas and ways to implement our sustainable development models.
We are committed to making sustainable development happen through simple innovation and ingenuity including the use of alternative fuel sources. We use wind,
water, biogenerators et cetera to build our models and field programming of sustainability and hope that others will adopt similar principles where applicable-less really is more! |

We at Naturaleza take great pleasure in operating as an interactive conduit between socially responsible individuals and our indigenous partners of the earth. However, we hold ourselves and our customers
to the highest ethical standards with regard to ecotourism experiences. We believe that tourism must be culturally/environmentally sensitive and that it should exert only positive influence on local communities.
Tourism should be completely sustainable/earth friendly and though this sometimes necessitates some real innovation (we are pioneering several cutting edge environmental stewardship management models using
Geographic Information Systems modalities and indigenous ideas!), it is always possible-with the desired end result of individuals leaving with a greater connection to our natural world and her conservation.
Our world's natural habitats should remain pristine and untouched for future generations and we see to it that this is the case with regard to our endeavors internationally. Additionally, we
enforce that there must be absolutely no commerce with regard to native species of plants, wildlife/animal based wildlife products or archaeological relics as this is both unethical and illegal.
In short, we at Naturaleza support completely socially/environmentally responsible ecotourism as when done correctly by following our innovative model (and others like it!) is an important and very powerful tool for effecting positive change with regard to conservation, preservation and Global Health and Wellness™. |

As our mission statement denotes our company was founded to assist with the generation of fresh revenue streams for the continued preservation of our world's natural places and the deep cultural traditions therein.
We were founded and are directly supported by the socially responsible company EARTH HEALERS. Naturaleza is designed to assist them with effecting global positive change through their/other socially responsible
corporate sponsorships, grants, philanthropic dollars and donations of other sorts.
