In addition to its strength as a research facility, La Sierra and clinic attaché also promise to foster world-class educational programming.
We would like to entertain experts from both Belize and abroad to offer and participate in conferences, workshops, and tutorial lessons in areas such as: graduate medical education
in tropical/wilderness medicine, epidemiological/infectious disease, public health, traditional healing modalities: shamanism, bush medicine and herbalism. La Sierra will provide
superb field laboratory and clinical support, excellent accommodations, and a wealth of field study options for educational purposes. Already underway are field training programming
and studies in traditional healing modalities, occupational and physical therapy and emergency response. La Sierra hopes to add other programs, as well, in collaboration with
professionals and institutions within the academic and healthcare provider sectors, public and private. We think that La Sierra can furnish valuable field training, infrastructure
and experience for many parties.
